2022 CLASSES & ENTRY FEES

Cutting Classes - NCHA cutting rules apply, earnings based on horse/rider eligibility for current year.

CLASS 1: Open
Open  Fresh Cattle - Open to any horse and rider. Rider need not own horse but rider AND owner must be CACHC members. Rider may show multiple horses. Single handed class, shank bit only.

*Intended for but not restricted to very experienced riders showing finished cutting horses. Year-end award for Horse with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows.

CLASS 2: Non-Pro
Non-Pro Fresh Cattle - Open to any Non-Pro or Amateur rider. Rider may show one horse per show and horse must be owned by rider or immediate family member. Single handed class, shank bit only.

*Intended for but not restricted to experienced Non-Pro or Amateur riders showing finished cutting horses. Year-end award for Non-Pro or Amateur Rider with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows.

CLASS 3: 5K NH
5000 Limit Novice Horse  Fresh Cattle - Open to any rider showing any horse with cutting earnings that do not exceed $5000 (NCHA eligibility rules). Riders may show multiple horses. Rider need not own the horse but rider AND owner must be CACHC members. Single handed class, shank bit only.

*Intended for but not restricted to trainers and experienced riders showing finished cutting horses with limited earnings. Year-end award for Novice Horse with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows.

CLASS 4: 5K NH NP
5000 Limit Novice Horse Non-Pro   Fresh Cattle - Open to any Non-Pro or Amateur rider showing any horse with cutting earnings that do not exceed $5000 (NCHA eligibility rules). Rider may show one horse per show and horse must be owned by rider or immediate family member. Single handed class, shank bit only.

*Intended for but not restricted to experienced Non-Pro or Amateur riders showing finished cutting horses with limited earnings. Year-end award for Non-Pro or Amateur Rider with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows.

CLASS 5: 2000 LR
2000 Limit Rider   Fresh Cattle - Rider lifetime cutting earnings may not exceed $2000 at start of show season (monies earned from all associations including NCHA, CACHC, jackpot/weekend or winter series but not including ranch class earnings). One entry per show per rider, horse need not be owned by rider but rider AND owner must be CACHC members. Single handed class, shank bit only.

*Intended for novice riders showing any advanced or finished cutting horse. Year-end award for Rider with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows.

CLASS 6: 500 LR
500 Limit Rider   Fresh Cattle - Rider lifetime cutting earnings may not exceed $500 at start of show season (monies earned from all associations including NCHA, CACHC, jackpot/weekend or winter series but not including ranch class earnings). One entry per show per rider, horse need not be owned by rider but rider AND owner must be CACHC members. Single handed class, shank bit only.

*Intended for novice riders showing any advanced or finished cutting horse. Year-end award for Rider with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows.

CLASS 7: YOUTH CUTTING
Youth Cutting  Fresh Cattle - Open to any rider that has not reached their 18th birthday by January 1st of the current year showing any horse, one horse per rider per show. Rider need not own the horse but rider AND owner must be CACHC members. Single handed class, shank bit only.

*Intended for youth riders showing any advanced or finished cutting horse. Year-end award for Youth Rider with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows. Youth Cattle charges may be subsidized when possible. **Class will be run with Novice Youth Transition Class.

Ranch and Transition Classes:

CLASS 8: 2500 NH Transition
2500 Limit Novice Horse Transition Fresh Cattle - Open to any rider showing any horse with cutting earnings that do not exceed $2500 at start of show season (not including ranch class earnings) Rider may show multiple horses. Rider need not own the horse but rider AND owner must be CACHC members. Must be ridden Single Handed but no penalty for reining (one handed). Horses may be shown in either Rope or Rawhide Bosal, Snaffle Bit or Shanked Bit.

*Intended for any riders showing intermediate cutting horses. Year-end award for Horse with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows.

CLASS 9: YOUTH TRANSITION
Youth Transition  Fresh Cattle - Open to any youth rider that has not reached their 18th birthday by January 1st of the current year showing any horse, one horse per rider per show. Rider need not own the horse but rider AND owner must be CACHC members. Can be ridden two handed and horse can be stopped on the ends (ranch rules). Horse may be shown in Rope or Rawhide Bosal, Snaffle Bit or Shanked Bit.

*Intended for youth riders. Year-end award eligible for rider with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows Youth Cattle charges may be subsidized when possible. ** Class will be run with Youth Cutting Class.

CLASS 10: OPEN RANCH
Open Ranch - 500 Limit Horse *Cutting Earnings  Fresh Cattle - Open to any rider showing any horse with cutting earnings that do not exceed $500 at start of show season (not including ranch class earnings) Rider need not own the horse but rider AND owner must be CACHC members. Can be ridden Single or Two Handed and horse can be stopped on the ends. Rider may show multiple horses. Horse may be shown in Rope or Rawhide Bosal or Snaffle Bit - no Shanked Bits.

*Intended for any Open rider showing novice cutting horses. Year-end award for Horse with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows.

CLASS 11: NON-PRO RANCH
Non-Pro Ranch - 500 Limit Horse - *Cutting Earnings.  Used Cattle - Open to any Non-Pro or Amateur rider. Rider allowed to show one horse per show and must be owned by rider or immediate family member. Rider may show any horse with cutting earnings that do not exceed $500 at start of show season (not including ranch class earnings). Can be ridden Single or Two Handed and horse can be stopped on the ends. Horse may be shown in Rope or Rawhide Bosal or Snaffle Bit - no Shanked Bits.

*Intended for any Non-Pro rider showing novice cutting horses. Year-end award for Rider with highest points that has shown in this class in at least 50% of the shows. 

CLASS 12: Bridleless
Bridleless  Used Cattle- Open to any rider and any horse. Must include music and costume.

*Intended for entertainment at Year-End show.

*Important*

  • There will be a $25.00 service charge for all NSF Cheques.
  • All late entries will be charged $20.00 late fee per entry and be placed at the bottom of the draw.
  • Anyone that enters and then does not cut will be charged; cattle fees, office and secretary charges, unless the rider can produce a vet certificate proving the entered horse was lame.
  • Entry fees must be paid & waivers signed before you show.
  • E-transfers will be accepted for membership and for entry fees (if paid by Tuesday 9pm preceding the show date). They will NOT be accepted after this cutoff time or at shows.
  • E-transfers can be sent to centralcutters.clubsecretary@gmail.com -- include your name and what the e-transfer is for (i.e. May 22, 2021 show entry fees, single membership).
  • Cash or cheques are accepted at the show.
  • Enter online or by email only -- you will then receive an email confirmation. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure the entry is(are) accurate and if not, to contact the club secretary immediately to report omissions/errors and the situation will be rectified.
  • Be sure both horse and rider are eligible before you enter a class ***YOUTH ARE NOT PERMITTED TO RIDE STALLIONS***
  • Both rider and horse owner must be members of the CACHC.
  • Class draws will be posted on FaceBook on Friday's at 6 pm - the order of go and draws are subject to change, and participants are responsible to ensure they are on the grounds in sufficient time to show.
